Moving Forward
Moving Forward, a non-profit peer-based support group for distressed homeowners, will commence group meetings in April. Meetings are free and open to all homeowners.
Moving Forward's goal is to help homeowners cope with the stresses created by the foreclosure process, and to educate homeowners of available options when navigating through the foreclosure process.
Currently there are hundreds of homes that are in foreclosure in Ventura County, with more than 2,000 properties in the pre-foreclosure stage.

In addition to peer-based support, Moving Forward will have a licensed Marriage and Family Counselor/Therapist in select meetings to assist homeowners in coping with the human side of foreclosure.
Future Moving Forward meetings will present guest speakers who are industry professionals to discuss real estate, tax liability, short sales, personal finance, bankruptcy, and how to avoid foreclosure scams.
Moving Forward was created by Newbury Park homeowners who are losing their house to foreclosure. By bringing distressed homeowners together, we hope to ease the negative emotions that come along with foreclosure.
